Nevermore Tasks 041
[Sebastian had been waiting all day out in the snow and while it had begun to fall hours ago, his eyes were transfixed on the farthest reaches of Adstringendum. Most often than naught, people from his home came with the snows. But today was special as it was his young master, Ciel Phantomhive's birthday. The video feed is stuck mostly pointing upwards at the sky and the falling snow with the edges of Sebastian's face.]
Good evening, Adstringendum. I trust you are well. My apologizes if I am waking anyone from an early slumber but for the more delicate and awake individuals, I offer you cake. [He doesn't want to waste it much like birthdays before. At this point it would be too late for cake should anyone arrive, at least for his young master. Sweet things were bad before bed.] As a compliment, hot cocoa.
If you don't wish to make the journey I am more than willing to bring it to you. [So he can spy on their houses or the individuals themselves]

[Good boy] Glad it is to your liking.

[It's like he never had that little talk at all, going for the hot chocolate with a happily pleased noise from the taste.]
no subject
We never know what kind of winter we'll have. One was cold, another hot.
no subject
[The cake is gone and he's sipping at the hot chocolate happily, glancing up at Sebastian.] I do fine with walking. [Or really flying.]
no subject
[He hasn't closed off the cake if Tsuzuki wants another piece.] I see.
no subject
[Fuck yeah you know he wants another piece.]

A fireplace in a cabin? Amusing. Do be careful with that.

I've lived with indoor fires when I was younger, know how to keep it contained and either put it out or keep it really low without anything that can catch fire from a random spark. [Siiiiiiiip.] Been getting as many blankets, or things to use as blankets, as I could for the nights.
no subject
Ah, so you're not just a novice walking into that kind of situation. I myself am use to retaining a hearth at home, so it is nothing new to me either.
no subject
Mm! Sometimes it was the only way to keep warm when I was a kid.
no subject
I like the heat and my young master is a bit too thin when he left to sustain himself long in the cold. Not that he couldn't if he wanted to.
no subject
[The cold wasn't pleasent to wake up to, he already knew he was alone without that.]
no subject
[The kitchen should be even if tile doesn't keep a warm temperature much.]

It's been a month or so for you, hasn't it? Are you adjusting well? I hear you've been 'busy' with official work.
no subject
Tsuzuki had years to learn how to hide and put this happy goofy mask outfront.]
Sometimes it feels longer than a month, and I have been. Cleaning up the cabin and making it warm- it wasn't in bad condition when I found it. Just dusty and stuff from disuse. [Pausing at the official work-] Oh yeah, I've been patroling some areas and looking into things for the Patrol Squad.
no subject
[It was almost like he was hinting and yet, it was something he took and molded into something he could use.]
Ah yes, how is that Squad working out for you. Not too demanding I hope?
no subject
[Going back to nomming down that cake. Yes, ignoring that.]
Good, it's working out good, and no.
no subject
I would imagine it wouldn't be easy unless of course it's something simple you are assigned to.
no subject
Well hey there-
I just walk around part of the city to make sure things are going well, really.
no subject
Oh? Then it is a little easy. Do be careful. Some people are worse than they seem.
no subject
Mm, I also look out into the wastes, check out things brought here.
no subject
[And then the barriers far beyond.] I have walked as far as I could until animals keels over from the fields. [So much so he knew how far he had to go to trap Alucard]
no subject
Events, too. How they effect things, what traces may be left behind.
no subject
Like the buildings that appeared years ago.
